Golf 7 (5G) – Speed Threshold Settings for Activating Cornering Lights

Purpose: Allows you to adjust the speed thresholds for turning the corner lights on and off via the fog lights. (Corner Lights)

Warning!! There are two lines of code to write here.

Proceed :
1 – Engine off, ignition off, connect your official VAG-COM VCDS cable to
the computer, then plug the other end into your vehicle’s diagnostics socket.

2 – Switch on the ignition and run the VCDS program.

Line 1 (Turn Signal Activation Speed):

3 – Click on“Select”, then click on“09 – Cent. Elect.”.

4 – Click on“Security Access – 16” then enter the code“31347”.

5 – Click on“Adaptation – 10”.

6 – At the very top of this page, there is a drop-down menu.
From this drop-down menu, select “statisches Kurvenlicht-Untere Geschwindigkeitsschwelle” /“static AFS light-Lower speed threshold”

7 – On this same page, there is a second drop-down menu located toward the bottom
.
In this menu, adjust the value accordingly and then confirm. (Default value: 0 km/h)

Note: When this value is specified, the turn signals are turned off when the vehicle is stationary and are activated only once the corresponding set speed is reached.

Line 2 (Turn Signal Fade-Out Speed):

3 – Click on“Select”, then click on“09 – Cent. Elect.”.

4 – Click on“Security Access – 16” then enter the code“31347”.

5 – Click on “Adaptation – 10”.

6 – At the very top of this page, there is a drop-down menu.
In this drop-down menu, select “statisches Kurvenlicht-Obere Geschwindigkeitsschwelle” /“static AFS light-Upper speed threshold”

7 – On this same page, there is a second drop-down menu located toward the bottom
.
In this menu, adjust the value as needed and then confirm. (Default value: 32 km/h)

Note: This is probably a good idea up to a maximum speed of 60 km/h (in urban areas), because otherwise the cornering lights will also be activated on country roads if the steering angle is sufficient.
