
Purpose: to modify and customize the Active Info Display / Virtual Cockpit in order to increase the maximum speed of the speedometer.
Procedure:
1 – Engine off, ignition off, connect your official VAG-COM VCDS cable to the computer, then plug the other end into your vehicle’s diagnostics socket.
2 – Switch on the ignition and run the VCDS program.
Line 1:
3 – Click on ” Select”, then click on ” 17- Instruments “.
4 – Click on“Coding – 07” then“Long Coding Helper“.
5 – Select byte “02“
. Then select bits “0-7“: “Vehicle Variant X“

Once the setting has been made and the Virtual Cockpit restarted, the speedo/tachometer scales or displays appear on a grey background and the maximum speed range on a red background, with the top speed now also displayed at 300 or 320 km/h. The S5 or RS5 logo appears above the fuel consumption display (Audi sport layout). .
