Purpose : to change the illumination of the hands and dial when the lights are off.
Proceed :
1 – Engine off, ignition off, connect your official VAG-COM VCDS cable to the computer, then plug the other end into your vehicle’s diagnostics socket.
2 – Switch on the ignition and run the VCDS program.
Line 1:
3 – Click “ Select,” then click “ 17 – Instruments.”
4 – Click “Encoding – 07,” then click “Long Coding Helper.”
5 – Select Byte 0:
Bit 0-1: Select from the drop-down list based on the desired lighting configuration
00 Lighting: Hands OFF and Counter OFF
01 Lighting: Hands ON and Counter OFF
02 Lighting: Dials OFF and Speedometer ON
03 Illumination: Dials ON and Speedometer ON
