Purpose: to activate Trailer Assist, which takes control of steering when the trailer is attached. Trailer direction is determined by the mirror adjustment knob.
Note:
- Suitable only for vehicles with PR no. 7X5, KA6 and 1M6. (Touran after 2018)
- The camera must be replaced for vehicles equipped with KA1 and KA2 cameras.
Warning! There are 7 lines of coding to do here.
Proceed :
1 – Engine off, ignition off, connect your official VAG-COM VCDS cable to
the computer, then plug the other end into your vehicle’s diagnostics socket.
2 – Switch on the ignition and run the VCDS program.
Line 1:
3 – Click on“Select” then click on“5F – Electr. information”.
4 – Click on“Security Access – 16” then enter the code“20103”.
5 – Click on“Adaptation – 10”.
6- On this page, at the very top, there is a drop-down menu.
In this drop-down menu, choose“Car_Function_List_BAP_Gen2 Trailer_Assistant_msg_bus_0x36”.
7 – On this same page, there is a second drop-down menu, but at the bottom
of the page.
On this menu, select“terminal 15” and confirm.

5 – Click on“Adaptation – 10”.

Select“Activated” and confirm.
