Purpose: to activate the windshield wipers once more after using the windshield washer, in order to remove any remaining water from the windshield.
Procedure:
1 – Engine off, ignition off, connect your official VAG-COM VCDS cable to the computer, then plug the other end into your vehicle’s diagnostics socket.
2 – Switch on the ignition, then run the VCDS program.
Line 1:
3 – Click on “Select”, then click on “09 – Cent. Elect.”. Switch on the ignition and run the VCDS program.
4 – Click on “Coding – 07”.
5 – In the drop-down menu, select the “1 – … WWS” module, then click on “Long coding assistant”.
6 – Select byte 0 and check bit 3: “adaptive post / tear wiping active”.
Then select byte 2 and check bit 5: “post / tear wiping active”.
