Touran (1T3) – Oil temperature on the ODB

Purpose: to activate the Oil Temperature Display in your Grand ODB.

Some cars don’t have this sensor available in the ODB, including some Golf MK6s and Sciroccos, whether TDI or TSI, and even R versions. Here’s a short tutorial to help you activate it and make it available in your ODB.

ATTENTION: Modification cannot be activated on all counters.

Procedure:
1 – Engine off, ignition off, connect your official VAG-COM VCDS cable to the computer, then plug the other end into your vehicle’s diagnostics socket.

2 – Switch on the ignition and run the VCDS program.

Line 1:

3 – Click on “Select”, then click on “17 – Instruments”.

4 – Click on “10-Adaptation”, then in the window that appears, click on the drop-down menu and select this byte: (7) WIV : Service interval coding Oil level and temperature transmitter

English version: Coding For Service Interval Extension TOG

5 – Select ” Oil level/temp. transmitter connected to instrument holder “in the second drop-down list
