Purpose: Automatically folds mirrors when vehicle is locked.
For 4th generation door modules (models from 2013) activation is possible with Vag-Com VCDS
Procedure:
1 – Engine off, ignition off, connect your official VAG-COM VCDS cable to the computer, then plug the other end into your vehicle’s diagnostics socket.
2 – Switch on the ignition and run the VCDS program.
Line 1:
3 – Click on “Select”, then click on “42 – Driver’s door”.
4 – Click on“Security Access – 16” then enter the code“04354”.
5 – Click on “Adaptation – 10”.
6 – Select Channel:“System_Parameter_0-System Parameter Byte8” from the drop-down list.
Replace Value 90 (if several values, 90 is in the middle).
Set value according to mirror opening mode:
– 95 (mirrors will deploy when door is opened)
– 99 (mirrors will deploy when ignition is switched on)
For 3rd generation door modules (models up to 2011) activation is only possible with VCP.
Click on Guided Functions then select the “Convenience” module on the right then “Activation automatic folder mirrors in UDS door control units (Passat/ Tiguan / Jetta)”.
Setting, Command: “Folding with driver door” or “Folding with ignition” = with driver door or with key
Engine/Car type : CAN TP20 1K0/5K0
Start the procedure, but don’t forget to save the Conductor 42 door module with access code 04354.
