Purpose : Allows mirrors to be folded down even after the ignition has been switched off and a door opened.
(Also enables windows and sunroof to be closed)
Only for Tiguan 5N phase 1.
Procedure:
1 – Engine off, ignition off, connect your official VAG-COM VCDS cable to the computer, then plug the other end into your vehicle’s diagnostics socket.
2 – Switch on the ignition and run the VCDS program.
Line 1 :
3 – Click on “Select”, then click on “46 – Comfort Module”.
4 – Click on “Coding – 07” then click on “Long Coding Helper” .
Byte 6:
Bit 7: Uncheck “Power Windows/Sunroof disabled after door Opening”.
If coding does not work on the VCDS procedure on the VCP :
For 3rd generation door modules (models up to 2011) activation is only possible with VCP Click on Guided Functions then select the “Convenience” module on the right then “Activation automatic folder mirrors in UDS door control units (Passat/ Tiguan / Jetta)”.
Setting, Command: “Folding with driver door” or “Folding with ignition” = with driver door or with key
Engine/Car type : CAN TP20 1K0/5K0
Start the procedure, but don’t forget to save the Conductor 42 door module with access code 04354.
