T-Roc (A1) – Speed threshold settings for cornering light activation

VAG Coding VCDS ODBeleven VW T-Roc A1

Purpose: to set the speed thresholds for turning on and off the cornering lights via the fog lights. (Corner Lights)

Warning! There are 2 lines of coding to do here.

Proceed :
1 – Engine off, ignition off, connect your official VAG-COM VCDS cable to
the computer, then plug the other end into your vehicle’s diagnostics socket.

2 – Switch on the ignition and run the VCDS program.

Line 1 (Turn signal activation speed) :

3 – Click on“Select”, then click on“09 – Cent. Elect.”.

4 – Click on“Security Access – 16” then enter the code“31347”.

5 – Click on“Adaptation – 10”.

6 – On this page, at the very top, there is a drop-down menu.
In this drop-down menu, choose “statisches Kurvenlicht-Untere Geschwindigkeitsschwelle” /“static AFS light-Lower speed threshold”.

7 – On this same page, there is a second drop-down menu, but towards the bottom
of the page.
On this, adjust the value accordingly, then validate. (Default: 0 km/h)

Note: When this value is specified, the cornering lights are deactivated at standstill, and are only activated when the corresponding set speed is reached.

Line 2 (Speed at which cornering lights go out) :

3 – Click on“Select”, then click on“09 – Cent. Elect.”.

4 – Click on“Security Access – 16” then enter the code“31347”.

5 – Click on “Adaptation – 10”.

6 – On this page, at the very top, there is a drop-down menu.
In this drop-down menu, choose “statisches Kurvenlicht-Obere Geschwindigkeitsschwelle” /“static AFS light-Upper speed threshold”.

7 – On this same page, there is a second drop-down menu, but towards the bottom
of the page.
On this, adjust the value accordingly, then validate. (Default: 32 km/h)

Note: This probably makes sense up to a maximum of 60 km/h (in urban areas), as otherwise the cornering lights will also be activated on country roads if the steering angle is correct.
