T-Roc (A1) – Adjust Soundaktor volume

Purpose: to adjust/deactivate the volume of the Soundaktor (speaker built into the windscreen bay to simulate a false engine noise). If you hear a squeaking or buzzing sound, or don’t like the noise, deactivate it completely. (Soundaktuator)


Proceed :
1 – Engine off, ignition off, connect your official VAG-COM VCDS cable to the computer, then plug the other end into your vehicle’s diagnostics socket.

2 – Switch on the ignition and run the VCDS program.

Line 1:

3 – Click on“Select” then click on “.A9- Struct. Sound terminal“.


4 – Click on“Adaptation – 10”.

5 – On this page, at the very top, there is a drop-down menu.
In this drop-down menu, choose“Volume of structure-borne noise actuator

6 – Adapt the value accordingly
Default value: 100%
If the value is set to 0, the sound amplifier is completely disabled.
