Purpose: to activate cornering lights with fog lamps.
Procedure:
1 – Engine off, ignition off, connect your official VAG-COM VCDS cable to the computer, then plug the other end into your vehicle’s diagnostics socket.
2 – Switch on the ignition and run the VCDS program.
Line 1, For models up to end 2009:
Modification only possible for vehicles with a 30 Byte power plant.
3 – Click on“Select”, then click on“09 – Cent. Elect.”.
4 – Click on“Coding 07”.
5 – Select the “0” module and click on “Long Coding Helper”:
Byte 23:
Bit 2: Check “Internal Turn Light Control Algorithm active”.
Bit 3-4: Select “08 Turn Lights via fog lights” from the drop-down list
Or disable bit 3 and 4
Line 2, For models after end 2009:
3 – Click on“Select”, then click on“09 – Cent. Elect.”.
4 – Click on“Coding 07”.
5 – Select the “0” module and click on “Long Coding Helper”:
6 – In the window that appears, select
Byte 12:
Bit 4: Check “Cornering Light Activation Time limited”.
Byte 14:
Bit 7: Check “Cornering Lights via Front Fog Lights activ
7 – After this operation, click on the “Output” menu
Then validate “OK”.
