Purpose: to modify and customize the Active Info Display / Virtual Cockpit. Depending on the setting, the display of the counter and/or vmax is different. (For AID v2)
Procedure:
1 – Engine off, ignition off, connect your official VAG-COM VCDS cable to the computer, then plug the other end into your vehicle’s diagnostics socket.
2 – Switch on the ignition and run the VCDS program.
Line 1 (To change counter background) :
3 – Click on “Select”, then click on “17- Instruments”.
4 – Click on “Adaptation – 10”.
5 – On this page, at the very top, there is a drop-down menu. In this drop-down menu, select the “Tube illustration” / “Tube representation” channel.
6 – In the “Value:” option, choose one of the 5 versions:
Version 0 :
Version 1:
Version 2:
Version 3 (GTI):
Version 4 (R):
Line 2 (To modify Vmax) :
3 – Click on “Select”, then click on “17- Instruments”.
4 – Click on “Adaptation – 10”.
5 – On this page, at the very top, there is a drop-down menu. In this drop-down menu, select the “Tachometer end value” channel.
6 – In the “Value:” option, choose one of the 6 versions:
Version 0 (Default) :
Version 1 (280) :
Version 2 (240) :
Version 3 (300) :
Version 4 (260 with additional speed marking) :
