Purpose: to activate the Ambient Light option on your MIB for changing screen and Virtual Cockpit colors (depending on your MIB version, you may not be able to activate all 30 colors, but only 10).
Information: On Passat B8.5, the door and floor LEDs are only white, so it’s impossible to change the color of the LIN coding unless you retrofit the LEDs.
Color lists:

– 30 colors + LIN (only for retrofit, after installation of door lights, floor lights, etc.)
– Color driving profile
Proceed :
1 – Engine off, ignition off, connect your official VAG-COM VCDS cable to the computer, then plug the other end into your vehicle’s diagnostics socket.
2 – Switch on the ignition and run the VCDS program.
Line 1:
3 – Click on“Select”, then click on“09 – Cent. Elect.”.
4 – Click on“Security Access – 16” then enter the code“31347”.
5 – Click on“Adaptation – 10”.
6 – On this page, at the very top, there is a drop-down menu.
In this drop-down menu, choose the channels corresponding to :
Activates the “Ambient lighting” menu in the MIB parameters:
Channel: “Interior light: light configuration-Ambientemenue mit alle Zonen” (Interior light: light configuration-Ambientemenue with all zones)

Once these adaptations have been applied, you’ll notice that a new “Ambient light” menu has appeared in the settings, but only one color is available. This is because the colors have to be coded according to your MIB, so you have the option of activating either 10 or 30 colors. To find out, go to adaptation and search for “Ambient light color list 2”; if you only have “Ambient light color list”, then you can only configure 10 colors.
