Purpose: Allows you to configure the Golf 8’s front grille LED strip/light bar, deactivate it or use it as daytime running lights (DRL) (GTI, GTE, GTD, R, Rline).
Watch out! There are 2 or 4 lines of coding to do here, depending on the model year or configuration.
Procedure:
1– Engine off, ignition off, connect your official VAG-COM VCDS cable to the computer, then plug the other end into your vehicle’s diagnostics socket or OBDeleven.
2– Switch on the ignition and run the VCDS program. or OBDeleven.
