Purpose: to activate Lane Assist for vehicles with Sign Assist and/or Light Assist options.
The vehicle must be equipped with the camera Ref 5Q0, example: 5Q0-980-653-E (Golf 7 phase 1, the camera is located at the top of the windscreen at the level of the rear-view mirror, in the shape of a triangle).
Attention on Golf 7 GTI Clubsport camera A5 is that of Golf 7 facelift 3Q0, but the rest of the coding in phase 1 (see activate lane assist facelift just for A5).
Warning! There are 12 lines of coding to do here.
Proceed :
1 – Engine off, ignition off, connect your official VAG-COM VCDS cable to
the computer, then plug the other end into your vehicle’s diagnostics socket.
2 – Switch on the ignition and run the VCDS program.
Line 1:
