
Purpose: to activate door bottom lights after retrofitting.
Front door connection : Pin 5 (ground, if wire is already connected, plug it in) and 16 (plus) of the 32-pin pin on the driver and front passenger door (see photos 1 to 3).
Proceed :
1 – Engine off, ignition off, connect your official VAG-COM VCDS cable to the computer, then plug the other end into your vehicle’s diagnostics socket.
2 – Switch on the ignition and run the VCDS program.
Line 1:
3 – Click on“Select”, then click on“42-Driver door”.
4 – Click on“Coding – 07” then“Long Coding Helper”.
5 – Select Byte 1 and check Bit 2
Line 2:
3 – Click on“Select”, then click on“52 – Passenger door”.
4 – Click on“Coding – 07” then“Long Coding Helper”.
5 – Select Byte 1 and check Bit 2
Rear door connection: 2nd wire from the top (plus), 2nd motor wire (ground), (see photo 4). Part of the plastic reinforcement needs to be cut to allow the light to pass through.
Rear doors do not require coding after wiring.
