Golf 7.5 (5G) Facelift – Adjust ACC control in 1 km/h steps

Purpose: to adjust the ACC distance setting from the factory setting so that it can be set in 1 km/h increments by pressing the switch.

By default, the PLUS and MINUS buttons on the adaptive cruise control system adjust your speed in 10 km/h increments. You can change the coding in 1 km/h increments by briefly pressing the button. And use the old 10 km/h speed increments by pressing and holding the buttons.

Procedure:
1 – Engine off, ignition off, connect your official VAG-COM VCDS cable to the computer, then plug the other end into your vehicle’s diagnostics socket.

2 – Switch on the ignition and run the VCDS program.

3 – Click on ” Select ” and then click on “Select”. 13 – Regul Dist. ” .

4 – Click on “Security Access – 16” then enter the code “14117 or 20103”.

5 – Click on “Coding – 07”.

6 – Click on “Long Coding Helper” .

7 – Select Byte 02

Select bit 6 “Operation Mode 2”.

Some speed controller modules may use a different coding or even have this parameter as an adaptation instead of the coding. Make sure that the option you are about to modify is correctly labeled.
