Purpose: Enables door lighting to be activated after retrofitting.
Procedure:
1 – Engine off, ignition off, connect your official VAG-COM VCDS cable to the computer, then plug the other end into your vehicle’s diagnostics socket.
2 – Switch on the ignition and run the VCDS program.
Line 1 (3-door). Procedure: 1 – Engine off, ignition off, connect your official VAG-COM VCDS cable to the computer, then plug the other end into your vehicle’s diagnostics socket:
3 – Click on “Select”, then click on “42 – Driver’s door”.
4 – Click on “Coding 07”.
5 – Add 64 to the existing coding.
Repeat for “52 – Passenger door”.
Line 2 (5 doors):
If you have a 5-door, repeat the operation for “62 – Left-hand rear door” and “72 – Right-hand rear door”.
Connection :
Cables must be connected to the 32-pin B connector on the front doors and the 18-pin connector on the rear doors.
Front doors :
Pin 18 → Red [+12V] / PIN 2 (harness) to PIN 18 (Connector B)
Pin 19 → Brown [- Ground] / PIN 1 (harness) to PIN 19 (Connector B)
Rear doors :
PIN 2 (harness) to PIN 14 (Connector B)
PIN 1 (harness) to PIN 4 (Connector B)
