Purpose : to open the tailgate automatically by remote control once the trunk release function has been activated. (Retrofit with Cylinder)
Equipment:
– 2 Skoda Fabia tailgate cylinders 6Y0 827 550 C
Note: Version A cylinders are slightly too short by 1cm and do not fit.
– 2 Golf 4/Seat Leon trunnions 1J6 827 439 A
– 2 Scirocco gas stops 1K8 827 761 C
Coding after assembly :
Procedure:
1 – Engine off, ignition off, connect your official VAG-COM VCDS cable to the computer, then plug the other end into your vehicle’s diagnostics socket.
2 – Switch on the ignition and run the VCDS program.
For Golf V before 2006 :
3 – Click on“Select”, then click on“46 – Comfort module”.
4 – Click on“Coding – 07” then on “Long Coding Helper”.
Byte 1:
Bit 4: Check “Central Locking (Rear Lid) Softtouch (direct open/no release)”.
For Golf V from 2006:
3 – Click on“Select”, then click on“46 – Comfort module”.
4 – Click on“Coding – 07” then on “Long Coding Helper”.
Byte 2:
Bit 3: Check “Central Locking (Rear Lid) Softtouch (direct open/no release)”.
Simply press the trunk button on the key for 2s.
The trunk will open automatically.
Note: Trunk closure is a little harder.
