Purpose: Allows fog lamps to be used as daytime running lights.
Procedure:
1 – Engine off, ignition off, connect your official VAG-COM VCDS cable to the computer, then plug the other end into your vehicle’s diagnostics socket.
2 – Switch on the ignition and run the VCDS program.
Line 1 :
3 – Click on “Select” then click on “09 – Cent. Elect.” .
4 – Click on “Coding 07”.
5 – Select the “0” module and click on “Long Coding Helper”:
6 – Byte 14 :
Check Bit 1 “Daytime Running Lights (DRL) via Fogs Active”.
For Golf 6 equipped with Xenon headlight :
Byte 11: Deactivate Bit 2 “Permanent Running Light (PRL) via Low Beam Active”.
For Golf 6 equipped with Halogen headlight :
Byte 15: Deactivate Bit 6 “Daytime Running Light (DRL) via separate Lights active”.
