The security access function Codes [login-11] or [security access-16] must be used on some ECUs (but not all) to recode or modify adaptation values. On others, it can be used to activate or deactivate certain functions.

These access codes can be given by info Bubbles: the VCDS can display access codes when appropriate information is available in the VCDS program for the ECU reference in question. The bubble appears when the mouse cursor is over the field.
To make certain adaptation changes, such as in the 09 – Centrale Elec calculator, you need to unlock access with a code.
Go to Secure Access – 16. Enter security access key: 31347. Then validate.
If you have the correct VCDS access code, you’ll see the following message:
Warning: after too many incorrect code attempts, this message appears: “too many communication errors to continue”. You won’t be able to enter any more codes, so switch off your vehicle’s ignition for several minutes, then try again.
