Purpose: To set the memory of the Auto Hold button (A) – the Auto Hold function can be set to be always active when the car is started, never active or held at the last setting before the ignition is switched off.
The vehicle must be equipped with the Auto Hold function.
Proceed :
1 – Engine off, ignition off, connect your official VAG-COM VCDS cable to the computer, then plug the other end into your vehicle’s diagnostics socket.
2 – Switch on the ignition and run the VCDS program.
Line 1:
3 – Click on“Select” then click on“03 – ABS brakes”.
4 – Click on“Adaptation – 10”.
5 – On this page, at the very top, there is a drop-down menu.
In this drop-down menu, choose“AUTO HOLD functional status”.
6 – On this same page, there is a second drop-down menu, but towards the bottom
of the page.
On this, choose the value according to your preference:
- “Last setting” (remembers state before engine cut-off)
- “Never active” (deactivated at every startup)
- “Always active” (activated at every startup)
then validate.
