Purpose : to adjust the hardness of the power steering for a softer or harder steering wheel.
Proceed :
1 – Engine off, ignition off, connect your official VAG-COM VCDS cable to the computer, then plug the other end into your vehicle’s diagnostics socket.
2 – Switch on the ignition and run the VCDS program.
Line 1:
3 – Click on“Select” then click on“44 – Direction assistée” / “44-steering assist.
4 – Click on“Adaptation – 10”.
5 – Select Channel 1 , set a value between 1 and 15 depending on your hardness preference.
Or Line 2: (If channel 1 is unavailable):
3 – Click on“Select” then click on“44 – Direction assistée” / “44-steering assist.
4 – Click on“Coding – 07”.
5 – Select :
- xxx1x for smooth steering
- xxx2x for sports management
- xxx3x for hard steering
- xxx4x for harder steering
- xxx5x for very hard steering
