Purpose: Allows you to have the third brake light on with an intensity of your choice, obviously if you brake, the brake light is the standard 100%. As long as the vehicle’s ignition is switched on or the engine is running, the third brake light is dimmed and added to the parking light or daytime running light, creating a perfect look for the rear, like the continuous LED strip light.
Warning! There are 2 lines of coding to do here.
Proceed :
1 – Engine off, ignition off, connect your official VAG-COM VCDS cable to
the computer, then plug the other end into your vehicle’s diagnostics socket.
2 – Switch on the ignition and run the VCDS program.
Line 1:
3 – Click on“Select”, then click on“09 – Cent. Elect.”.
4 – Click on“Security Access – 16” then enter the code“31347”.
5 – Click on“Adaptation – 10”.
6 – On this page, at the very top, there is a drop-down menu.
In this drop-down menu, choose “Leuchte22BR MA57 Lichtfunktion C 22”.
7 – On this same page, there is a second drop-down menu at the bottom
of the page.
On this menu, choose :
- “100% active the 3rd brake light will always be on, in any position of the light switch, even if you turn off drl from the menu, and it will stay on for about 20 seconds after locking the car. it’s always on and off!
- “standlicht allgemein” the 3rd brake light comes on when the low beam is switched on in automatic mode or if you manually switch on the parking lights or low beam. the third light is switched off during the day with the drl. .
Line 2:

6 – On this page, at the very top, there is a drop-down menu.

of the page.
On this, choose the value from 0 to your choice (100 is the maximum intensity of the 3rd stop light, my advice is 5 for a low intensity and that the stop light is visible).
Line 3 (Option) :
If you want the third light to be always on but deactivate it when the light switch is set to 0 and you switch off drl from the drl menu, it is on with the light switch set to auto, position and low beam and will not remain on after locking the car.
Leuchte22…C22 change from “not active” to “standlicht allgemein”
Leuchte22…D22 change to “daytime running lights”
Leuchte22…CD22 change the value from 0 to your choice (100 is the maximum intensity of the third light, my advice is 10)
