Purpose: to deactivate the engine/ignition switch when the driver’s door is opened with the gear selector in position P and the seatbelt fastened.
Procedure:
1 – Engine off, ignition off, connect your official VAG-COM VCDS cable to the computer, then plug the other end into your vehicle’s diagnostics socket.
2 – Switch on the ignition, then run the VCDS program.

3 – Click on “Select”, then click on “46 – Central Conv.” . 1 – Engine off, ignition off, connect your official VAG-COM VCDS cable to the computer, then plug the other end into your vehicle’s diagnostics socket.
4 – Click on “Coding – 07” then “Long Coding Helper”
5 – Select Byte 14:
Bit 3: This is a hidden bit, so the value must be modified directly in binary (replace 0 by 1, e.g.00011111).
