A5 (8T) – AUX-IN activation (retrofit)

VAG Coding VCDS ODBeleven Audi A5 8T

Purpose: To activate the AUX (Auxiliary) socket on the rear of the MMI 2G 3G 3GPLUS, for retrofitting to CarPlay / Android Auto / MP3 / BT box / AUX cable. You’ll also see “AUX” as an option in the multimedia menu on the central display once you’ve completed the activation process.

When installing a CarPlay and Android Auto box kit on your MMI, you may wish to enable the AUX pin on the head unit on some cars (normally cars equipped with the Audi AMI multimedia interface).
Note: if you have the Audi AMI interface, you can also use an AMI-AUX adapter instead of activating AUX. This will work fine, but you’ll need to run a cable to the AMI input. Although this works correctly, the cable is not hidden.

Proceed :
1 – Engine off, ignition off, connect your official VAG-COM VCDS cable to the computer, then plug the other end into your vehicle’s diagnostics socket.

2 – Switch on the ignition and run the VCDS program.
