Purpose: to modify and customize the Active Info Display / Virtual Cockpit in order to increase the maximum speed of the speedometer.
Procedure:
1 – Engine off, ignition off, connect your official VAG-COM VCDS cable to the computer, then plug the other end into your vehicle’s diagnostics socket.
2 – Switch on the ignition and run the VCDS program.
Line 1:
3 – Click on “Select”, then click on “17- Instruments”.
4 – Click on “Adaptation – 10”.
5 – On this page, at the very top, there is a drop-down menu. In this drop-down menu, select the “Tube display” or“Fahrzeugderivat” channel.
6 – In the “Value:” option, choose one of the 4 variants
Derivat_13: RS4 Sedan (max 320km/h)
Derivat_15: RS4 Avant (max 320km/h)
Derivat_12: S4 limousine (max 300km/h)
Derivat_14: S4 Avant (max 300km/h)
Once the setting has been made and the Virtual Cockpit restarted, the speedo/tachometer scales or displays appear on a grey background and the maximum speed range on a red background, with the top speed now also displayed at 300 or 320 km/h. The S4 or RS4 logo appears above the fuel consumption display (Audi sport layout).
