Purpose: Allows you to set the activation time for tailgate operation when you hold down the center button of the key and release to open the trunk. The default activation time/delay for opening/closing the trunk is 0.8sec (800ms). You can increase the time required to open the safe with the remote key. For example, if you accidentally open the tailgate (because the key is in your pocket) when you weren’t supposed to, you’ll have more time.
Procedure:
1 – Engine off, ignition off, connect your official VAG-COM VCDS cable to the computer, then plug the other end into your vehicle’s diagnostics socket.
2 – Switch on the ignition and run the VCDS program.
Line 1:
3 – Click on“Select” then click on “.46 – Central Conv”.
4 – Click on“Adaptation – 10”.
5 – On this page, at the very top, there is a drop-down menu.
In this drop-down menu, choose “Actuation Time for opening rear lid with remote control” or “Temps d’ouverture du coffre arrière avec télécommande”.
6 – Select value in ms
Default: 800 (ms)
Range: 0 to 5000 (ms)
