Purpose: to deactivate the “Key not in vehicle” warning light
This message appears on the display with this symbol when you take the radio-controlled key out of the vehicle while the engine is running. This message is intended to remind you (e.g. when changing drivers) not to continue driving without the radio-controlled key.
If the radio key is no longer in the vehicle, you cannot switch on the ignition or restart the engine once the engine has been switched off. What’s more, you can’t lock the vehicle from the outside without the key.
Procedure :
1 – Engine off, ignition off, connect your official VAG-COM VCDS cable to the computer, then plug the other end into your vehicle’s diagnostics socket.
2 – Switch on the ignition and run the VCDS program.
