Purpose: to activate auxiliary heating.
Procedure:
1 – Engine off, ignition off, connect your official VAG-COM VCDS cable to the computer, then plug the other end into your vehicle’s diagnostics socket.
2 – Switch on the ignition, then run the VCDS program.
Line 1:
3 – Click on “Select”, then click on “17 – Instruments”. 1 – Engine off, ignition off, connect your official VAG-COM VCDS cable to the computer, then plug the other end into your vehicle’s diagnostics socket.
4 – Click on “Adaptation- 10” .
5 – Select Channel 18
Change the value with
First digit: Warm-up
0 : No heating
1 : Engine warm-up
Second digit: Type of auxiliary heating
0: No auxiliary heating
1: Auxiliary heating and ventilation installed
2: Auxiliary heating and ventilation switched off when engine off
3: Auxiliary fan installed only
4: Auxiliary fan installed only, off when engine off
