Purpose : to activate the multifunction steering wheel for retrofitting.
Proceed :
1 – Engine off, ignition off, connect your official VAG-COM VCDS cable to the computer, then plug the other end into your vehicle’s diagnostics socket.
2 – Switch on the ignition and run the VCDS program.
Line 1:
3 – Click on “Select”, then click on “16 – Multifunction steering wheel”.
4 – Click on “Coding – 07”.
5 – x?xxx: Steering wheel variant
The following options (replace with ?):
0 – steering wheel without multifunction
1 – 3-spoke steering wheel (without multifunction)
2 – 4-spoke multifunction steering wheel for radio control
3 – 4-spoke multifunction steering wheel for radio/telephone control
4 – 4-spoke multifunction steering wheel for radio/telephone/cond.
