Purpose: to activate/deactivate the daytime running lights (DRL) from the MMI.
Procedure:
1 – Engine off, ignition off, connect your official VAG-COM VCDS cable to the computer, then plug the other end into your vehicle’s diagnostics socket.
2 – Switch on the ignition, then run the VCDS program.
Line 1:
3 – Click on ” Select”, then click on ” Select ” and run the VCDS program.09 – Cent. Elect.” .
4 – Click on “Coding – 07” then “Long Coding Helper”.
5 – Select Byte 15:
Bit 7: This is a hidden bit, so modify the value directly in binary (replace 0 with 1).
MMI operation
Menu CAR -> Vehicle settings -> Exterior lighting
The “Daytime Running Lights” menu has been added (activation/deactivation with On/Off).
