<p>The electronic differential lock (XDS) is an extension of the well-known EDS function. However, XDS does not react to acceleration slip, but rather relieves pressure on the inside front wheel when cornering. XDS applies pressure to the inside wheel during cornering from the hydraulic ESP to prevent slippage.   </p>

<p><strong>Procedure: </strong><br/> 1 &#8211; Engine off, ignition off, connect your official VAG-COM VCDS cable to the computer, then plug the other end into your vehicle&#8217;s diagnostics socket.</p>

<p><strong>2</strong> &#8211; Switch on the ignition and run the VCDS program.</p>

<p><strong>3</strong> &#8211; Click on “<strong>Select”</strong>, then click on “<strong>03 &#8211; ABS</strong>”.</p>

<p><strong>Purpose:</strong> to activate the electronic differential lock (XDS).  </p>

<p>The electronic differential lock (XDS) is an extension of the well-known EDS function. However, XDS does not react to acceleration slip, but rather relieves pressure on the inside front wheel when cornering. XDS applies pressure to the inside wheel during cornering from the hydraulic ESP to prevent slippage.   </p>

<p><strong>Procedure: </strong><br/> 1 &#8211; Engine off, ignition off, connect your official VAG-COM VCDS cable to the computer, then plug the other end into your vehicle&#8217;s diagnostics socket.</p>

<p><strong>2</strong> &#8211; Switch on the ignition and run the VCDS program.</p>

<p><strong>3</strong> &#8211; Click on “<strong>Select”</strong>, then click on “<strong>03 &#8211; ABS</strong>”.</p>

<p><strong>4</strong> &#8211; Click on “<strong>Coding &#8211; 07</strong>” then click on “<strong>Long Coding Helper</strong>” .</p>
