<p><strong>Procedure: </strong><br/> 1 &#8211; Engine off, ignition off, connect your official VAG-COM VCDS cable to the computer, then plug the other end into your vehicle&#8217;s diagnostics socket.<br/><br/> 2 &#8211; Switch on the ignition and run the VCDS program.<br/><br/><strong>Line 1</strong>:</p>

<p><strong>3</strong> &#8211; Click on<strong>“Select</strong>” then click on<strong>“37 &#8211; Navigation</strong>” (RNS) or<strong>“56 &#8211; Radio</strong>” (RCD)</p>

<p><strong>4</strong> &#8211; Click on<strong>“Coding 07</strong>” then “<strong>Long Coding Helper</strong>”.</p>

<p><strong>5</strong> &#8211; Choose Byte<strong> 6</strong> or <strong>9</strong></p>

<p>Exit the module and save your changes. The RCD or RNS must now be restarted for the changes to take effect. Press both arrows and the star for 6s.  </p>

<p>Restart the Discover Media PQ (hold down the ON/OFF button for at least 5 seconds).</p>

<p>Depending on your hardware and firmware, the off-road menu may appear directly in the Menu, or it may be hidden:<br/>Press the VOICE-MENU-NAV buttons to access the secret menu, where you&#8217;ll now find the OFFROAD screen:  </p>

<p><em>For model Facelift (radio screen like Golf 7).  </em><br/><br/><br/><strong>Proceed :</strong> <br/><strong>1</strong> &#8211; Engine off, ignition off, connect your official VAG-COM VCDS cable to the computer, then plug the other end into your vehicle&#8217;s diagnostics socket.<br/><br/><strong>2</strong> &#8211; Switch on the ignition and run the VCDS program.<br/><br/><strong>Line 1:</strong><br/><br/><strong>3</strong> &#8211; Click on<strong>“Select”</strong> then click on<strong>“5F &#8211; Electr. information</strong>”.<br/><br/><strong>4</strong> &#8211; Click on<strong>“Security Access &#8211; 16</strong>” then enter the code<strong>“S12345</strong>”.<br/><br/><strong>5</strong> &#8211; Click on<strong>“Adaptation &#8211; 10</strong>”.<br/><br/><strong>6</strong> &#8211; On this page, at the very top, there is a drop-down menu.<br/>In this drop-down menu, choose<strong>“Developer mode</strong>”.<br/><br/><strong>7</strong> &#8211; On this same page, there is a second drop-down menu at the bottom<br/>of the page.<br/>On this menu, choose the value<strong>“activated</strong>”.</p>
