<p>Depending on your hardware and firmware, the off-road menu may appear directly in the Menu, or it may be hidden:<br/>Press the VOICE-MENU-NAV buttons to access the secret menu, where you&#8217;ll now find the OFFROAD screen:  </p>

<p><strong>Purpose:</strong> to deactivate Start and Stop completely. For phase 1 and 2.  <br/><br/><br/><br/><strong>Proceed :</strong> <br/><strong>1</strong> &#8211; Engine off, ignition off, connect your official VAG-COM VCDS cable to the computer, then plug the other end into your vehicle&#8217;s diagnostics socket.<br/><br/><strong>2</strong> &#8211; Switch on the ignition and run the VCDS program.</p>

<p><strong>5</strong> &#8211; Select byte <strong>1</strong>:<br/>Then uncheck Bit <strong>0: </strong>“<strong>Brakepad warning active/installed</strong>”.  </p>
