Procedure:
1 – Engine off, ignition off, connect your official VAG-COM VCDS cable to the computer, then plug the other end into your vehicle’s diagnostics socket.

2 – Switch on the ignition and run the VCDS program.

Line 1 :

3 – Click on “Select”, then click on“37 – Navigation”.

4– Click on“Adaptation – 10”.

5 – Select Channel 17 (Speed Display) then set the value according to the desired display.

Note: modifications affect the display of instantaneous consumption, average consumption and fuel quantity.

Procedure:
1 – Engine off, ignition off, connect your official VAG-COM VCDS cable to the computer, then plug the other end into your vehicle’s diagnostics socket.

2 – Switch on the ignition, then run the VCDS program.

Line 1:

Procedure:

2 – Switch on the ignition, then run the VCDS program.

Line 1:

3 – Click on ” Select”, then click on ” Select ” and run the VCDS program. 37 – Navigation” .

4 – Click on “Adaptation – 10”.

5 – Choose Channel 67 then set the value to 255 (Eject Button locked i.e. (Rental Car))

Restart RNS-E.

To eject the CD/DVD, set the value to 0 for normal use of the button, or 1 to eject it immediately.

Purpose: to activate the speed regulator after retrofitting.

Caution: To carry out this modification, it’s essential to check that you have the correct steering column ECU, otherwise you’ll have to change it. It’s also essential to check that you have the correct wiring.

There are 3 types of calculator: low-end, mid-range and high-end.

Low: (does not support cruise control => Must be replaced)

Standard 4-spoke steering wheel

Possible functions: On-board computer

Reference: 8E0 953 549 F and 8E0 953 549 S

Medium:

4-spoke steering wheel, 3-spoke Sport steering wheel, Multifunction steering wheel

Possible functions: On-board computer; Cruise control

Reference: 8E0 953 549 L and 8E0 953 549 N

High:

4-spoke Standard steering wheel, 3-spoke Sport steering wheel, Multifunction steering wheel, Heated steering wheel

Possible functions: trip computer; cruise control; heated steering wheel

There are 3 ways to find out if your module is compatible:

• or check the module reference by removing the cache (see below).

• or make a VCDS vagcom diagnosis

Please note: if the steering column ECU is to be replaced, it is essential to identify the new ECU to the car and then code it.

To identify the new ECU to the car, go to channel 081 of module 16 (Adaptation),

enter the value 00111, this resets the ECU and declares the VIN chassis number to the ECU.
